That sounds like art theft to me. But what do we know? I don't know how you can find out though.

I don't know what the rest of this conversation was but I do know that Deviant Art put it in their terms and services that if people uploaded their artwork to DA they'd be agreeing to allow AI to access it for whatever reason it needed to be accessed for.

Oh, that's awful a lot of people don't read the entire terms of service when they sign up for a website.

I'm a professional illustrator and I don't like to post high resolution images on my facebook art page because I don't want someone to snag them and make a monster out of the things I've made. :/

I really feel for artists like you AI trawling fanfic sites and personal blogs made me feel similarly awful.

That's why I don't really post images of my artwork anywhere anymore. I know too many people who have been ripped off by AI (and other ways) when they post their work for others to see. It really sucks!

The art I usually do is like traditional stuff that I rarely post anywhere except to hide it in some private folder. XD
