The cold is my favorite because it means I can snuggle up nice under warm blankets! It's also an excuse to wear my hoodies and sweaters.

Quite a few from when I used to write a lot. Most of them were loosely based off of friends. There were a few exceptions, my friend challenged me to write a story that was boarderline smut with a plot so I created characters without using a heavy amount of traits from any of my friends. One of my favorites that I like using has gone through a few reincarnations as my writing has progressed.

The one with all of the reincarnations is currently named Danny and is a witch with the power to manipulate the mana in other living beings. She used to be nicknamed DM in older stories and was a bat/ human hybrid. One of my friends that would write all the time also put her own spin on her and included her in a story and made her super bubbly and confident in her powers which is often the opposite in most of my stories with her. Others I’ve made in the past and enjoyed are Mel who is a witch with a demon father who shelters other young witches from harm and Beatrice who is Mel’s mother who is also a witch and used her magic to perform and support herself and her daughter until she was outed and killed. I had old one from a seperate story who’s name I had long forgoten that was basically an earthbender who was training to be a superhero. Another old one was a demon that brought about bad luck but was completely unaware of it until she properly awakened as a demon and her best friend that could create portals.
Sorry for the rant. I’ve made quite a few.

I don't mind the rants, I love to hear about people's characters. Also, the angst sometimes associated with them. That should be clear from the title of the hangout, ahaha. 
Those are some pretty cool concepts though, thanks for sharing! Do you have a favorite OC?

Are we talking physical or emotional torture here?
Because I like to lie to myself and say I only do emotional but I have two characters who would strongly beg to differ.

Mostly emotional torture, but I've been known to make my OCs physically suffer as well. Do you have a story you'd like to share? :>

I’ve had a few physically suffer. Not many though. Its usually emotional pain I put them through.

A lot of it is reated to identity stuff. Danny is constantly hiding who she truely is, even from close friends because she is the last of her family and is plotting revenge. Her drive and fury is what the demon she contracted likes about her and is the reason he offered one in the first place. She also has limited control of her powers and is absolutly terrified by them.
