Mulled cider = cider heated up with spices; typically a mix of cinnamon, allspice, orange peel, and clove
Can be made with regular cider or alcoholic cider.

Traditionally served in late fall/winter only; from the apple harvest until the last pruning of winter.
You'd think it'd be any time it's cold out, even if it's a summer night or something, but no. I've never seen anyone make it from the first spring blooms to apple harvest.

Makes me want to go make some on midsummer's night or something, just to be ornery, now I think on it.

Hum. I think I’ve had it before then. But not something I usually drink.

Its a lovely drink. It makes you feel all warm inside.

In upstate NY we have no sun.

We had some sun today!
I even got out in it.
Of course, I was rushing around doing errands for family, but it still counts. :P
(And it didn't last. Still.)

Ugh no sun for a week sounds terrible. D: it looks bright out but I dunno if that means there’s sun, my blinds are closed.

Ha ha ha, that's one way to deal with it.
With your blinds closed, you can pretend there's sun even if you don't have it.

Eh I've gotten used to it. When I lived in Mass we had what I called fake sun. It would be super sunny but because of the sea breeze it would be well below freezing.
