Sorry for disappearing :mcsweat: the new school year has begun.
I can't believe I'm in my last year of high school already, I feel grown up in that I want my own space and freedom but I also feel like I want to be taken care of and protected. Probably when I'm a crazy grey-haired spinster I'll look back on this nostalgically as 'That time of life, the treshold.' :chick:
I suppose I do have lots of time. Just that it all gets squandered away on studying, or a million other things I'm supposed to do. I've heard keeping a journal is a good way but I tried that once and... well, I once walked in on my Dad reading my emails out to my Mom :mcargh:
Yes it is! I was once jumping around on sites while reading Gakuen Alice and it was crazy how different the translations were, it was maddening and saddening. :mcconf:
I'm sure it will :mccute: chillout and have a good time!

Wow, I find that cool. As in how other countries have school years starting in spring-ish and some in summer. Here am I, having only 16 weeks of school left for this year...not sure if I'm happy or not.

Anyways, hello.

Urban Myth - no worries. I completely understand.
I'm probably not going to be on a lot in the next couple weeks, but after that things should calm down a bit.
Yeah, it's nice being taken care of and not having to worry about much besides school. But it's also nice not having to answer to anyone either. lol

Oh man. I would be furious if I found my parents reading my private stuff. How rude. You should give your kids some privacy.

Happy - other countries have different seasons at different times. For instance when it is Winter in the USA it's summer in Australia.

Hello! I'm schooling until April then I get a bit of a break and then back to summer school.

In the societal setup here people don't move out once they turn 18, families just keep growing bigger, and relatives somehow have the right to poke into your business... well, since everything you do affects the family honour :mcsweat: so you are answerable. Forever. :mcargh:
Yeah, I totally saw red. But I couldn't do anything about it. Since there are no laws against it :mcmeh:

@Happy: Yeah, it's summer school for me atm :mccute: things are going to start roasting in a month or so and then we'll have a proper break, then regular school from June.

Oh right :") I forgot that the seasons are different for different places.
I'm eagerly waiting for spring now.

Urban Myth - You can get a really good password to your computer so they can't get on your personal stuff? Or maybe a lock or something.

Maybe when you're out of school you could move out? I know that's not how people do stuff in your culture, but if it's something you want to do you can always try.

My family is very annoying. They're very conservative and I'm basically the only liberal. I'm the black sheep of the family. lol

Happy - It's an easy thing to forget.
I'm looking forward to it too. There's been a ridiculous amount of snow this year.

I've got a good password for my user account on the computer, but my Dad is the Admin so he can do whatever the wuffel he likes :mcmeh:
I'll be able to move out only once I finish with my college education; that's the only time I'll be qualified enough to earn enough to afford a rented apartment. Of course I'll be away from home immediately after high school since I'll be in a dorm in a college and stuffz... yeah, freedom isn't too far away :mcglee:
I would become the black sheep if I ever actually opened my mouth to say what I thought, but I have to respect the elders. I've already crossed the danger line several times trying to reason with them about romantic love not really being against the scriptures :mcsweat: I don't know what they'll do if they ever find out I'm pansexual. It doesn't help that I can be jailed for having not-straight sex :mcangry:
It never snows here. I once visited Seattle and messed around in snow there; it was nothing like I'd imagined. I expected it to be kind of mushy, not powdery :mclaugh:

Sorry that I've not been on in so long!
I was on my honeymoon. So much fun!

Urban - Ah. That does make things more difficult.

I'm glad that you're going to get some freedom. What did you say that you were going into?

What scriptures? My family be crazy Baptists. I'm an atheist.

Oh man. I didn't know that they had laws like that in India. That's ridiculous. Are you going to try to leave the country when you get out of college?

There's different types of snow. Sometimes it's super powdery, other times it's a bit mushy. I like it when it sticks together and you can make sculptures out of it. lol
