yeah some people also shouldn't be allowed to make decisions. I've seen the candidates so far for next year's presidential election and i'm scared.

I vote but the options for the most part are painful to even think about. With most of the candidates i pretty much give up on the idea of women having rights and oil companies being regulated.

lunar - With the kind of options you get, it's hardly a democracy, is it? But I suppose that if you don't vote, you can't even complain.

I wouldn't say its not a democracy but it seems like a flaw in democracy. Most of the general public doesn't look up what these people plan to do and what they stand for when they vote.

Well, in a true democracy you'd get to vote for absolutely anyone. As it is, only people with money and backing can run for presidency in the US...That's pretty exclusive if you ask me.
moi - it doesn't make you stupid, but I suppose that your own little world is affected considerably by what they decide you can or can't have. It's unfortunate, but everything is rather political...

in can agree that basically people with money are those who can run a campaign, and those who don't have enough money need to get it from companies who do.
