I only recently heard of ppl salting watermelon. But personally, I don’t think I would do it lol. Now pineapple, my fam would submerge it in salt water before eating. Bc pineapple has some compound or enzyme or whatever that when eaten gives your tongue this tingly sensation. Salt water would deactivate it and also make it sweeter.

I’ve had dark chocolate that had sea salt in it. Like they have those flavors for chocolate and other sweets. But physically adding it, I’ve never done so.

Ooh I like chocolate with sea salt! :'D And salted caramel is delicious. I didn't know people put salt on so many fruits!

yeah i can understand if the salt or whatever is already added to the sweet. but adding salt on some "final product" sweet snack....xD i dunno i just found it a bit weird...and interesting. lol

I just eat ones that are already salted. And my salted chocolate either have caramel or nuts in them.

That tingle or burn from pineapple is the enzyme trying to digest your tongue!

oh, yeah, i don't mind sweets like dark chocolate with salted caramel or sea salt....like if the saltiness is already in the sweet, i don't mind it as much.

lol yeah i think its like the citrusy/acidy thing about it. the salt water helps in removing that. trust me, i used to hate pineapple bc of that. now i eat it lol.

I'll have to remember that salt trick. I love pineapple, but it's too harsh for me. I mean, they use the stuff to tenderize old beef! I don't need my guts anymore tender than they already are. (and right now the IBS is awake and angry, because I let myself run out of probiotic).

yes, its scientifically proven that salt water works wonders on fresh pineapple. i always hated pineapple when i was younger bc i didn't like that stingy aftertaste in my mouth. however, when my parents found out that submerging it in salt water after freshly cut got rid of that tingliness and made it sweeter, i liked pineapple more. xD

I need to try the salty pineapple thing too.

Once again... I hate my neighbor! She was playing super loud music alllllll night and had her friends parked right in front of my house. They kept coming and going all night in loud ass vehicles and were talking to loud. I wish she would leave every single day and not come back.

*much sympathy for Bear as I remember the new year's night/day that I got no sleep because of people upstairs running around and screaming all night*

I'm sorry for your bad neighbors too... why can't people just be a tiny bit more respectful of others like? It's not that hard not to be a jerk.
