As a Chinese person, rice is def a staple. However, too much rice also isn’t good lol bc of starches and sugars. Which is why I always mix my rice with other grains/types of rice when I cook it.

I love potatoes. and Taro and yams.

I don't care for Yams.. but I would like to try Taro.. o3o

I wanna know what all root veggies would be good in Japanese Curry.. o3o I can't have Carrots, and I've made it with a LOT of Onmins.. (onions) which is actually quite tasty. <3 I've become quite obsessed with Japanese Curry even though I don't eat it with Rice. <3

I like eating it with buttered bread too. x3

I need to stay away from too much rice. I'm finally losing weight. QwQ
Started losing it when I added Curry and tatoes to my diet.

Taro is so yummy. I love it lol. Altho when I end up being the one peeling it, that hairy skin sometimes makes my skin itch. My mom usually gets me to do it bc she’s even more sensitive to it.

You could always look it up. Taro would be good I guess. Maybe turnip or radish? XD I dunno. There’s also lotus root altho I rarely hear of ppl using that to make curry.

I've never had yams yet, only the sweet potatoes that people call yams but aren't. But I've had those orange sweet potatoes, I've had one with purple skin and white inside, I've had one with red skin and white inside, and I've had small bits of prepared ube, the purple/purple one. They all have really different flavours and textures, but they're all sweet potatoes, it's pretty neat.

Oddest thing I cook regularly... um. Rice is the only thing I cook regularly, but the oddest thing that I cook sometimes is probably pancakes made from idli mix.

I'm really tempted to start a sour dough. I've been seeing it all over the place on facebook ext. lol
Have you ever had idli? It's an Indian steamed rice cake that's fermented for a bit, a little like sourdough.
