There's supposed to be a big announcement tomorrow (I believe that's official), but whether they're announcing Gen 2 or the Holiday event is unknown.

Today! That was part of the big announcement! The other part was that Togepi, Pichu and other baby Pokemon are now hatchable. From 5k eggs I think. Those are all the Gen 2 Pokemon available right now, but they will be rolling out more a few at a time.
