Some black cats nose (kind of like the Rudolph one but in a pink version and a black version? XD whiskers would be awesome too. XD To go with the cat hats. ^^
Also, those cute anime blushes for on our cheeks would be awesome. Like just a red glow to the cheeks, or those three vertical red stripes on each cheek or the black thuderbolt shaped thing XD or like really apparant red blush like a bright red/pink circle. ^^ And freckles! XD
And how about a riceball pet, and riceballs and chopsticks for handhelds, or a bowl of rice, and some rice that sticks to the mouth and a riceball in the hand with a bite taken out of it? ^^
Another basic idea: that annoyed anime vein to stick on the side of our heads. XDD

I love those in real life and it just jumped into my mind that the avatars do have kind of the right pose for it .. I'm sure it would look great ^.^
(This one's around the neck , but what I had in mind was more draped around the arms . ^.^)

I think it's okay to suggest it, but it cant be exactly the same. It has to have "an original twist". I think it can only be similar...

Um, I have a couple of suggestions that I think would be cute but I am not sure if they would be any good.
The first one is for maybe monthly items, I believe that the saying is, "April showers bring May flowers." Maybe you could do a stormy background, a top that covers the breast to look like a cloud, rainy tattoos on the stomach, arm, or face, contacts that look like they have a stormy sky in them, lightning bolt shaped earrings etc.
And then in May do a flowery theme but with a twist, instead of the standard stuff you see everywhere such as lilies, roses, and sunflowers you could do exotic flowers. I was thinking maybe you could make a cocktail hat that looked like this, maybe a bunch of these hanging in the background, maybe one of these as a corsage or what ever.
And then other ideas would be
Skunk/badger/cow like skin
Zombie skin
Monkey skin
Kitty skin
Lizard/fish like skin
Skeleton skin
Tribal/Henna tattoos
Fairy/pixie/sprite wings that look different like this.
Bat/demon wings
Unique piercings such as maybe the eyebrow, labret, industrial, bridge, and corset (maybe on the stomach or arm?)
Fun contacts like these
Ankhs, I don't really care as what, tattoos, shirts, jewelry what ever.
Egyption items
Armbands
Dark cabaret/circus items, hats, corsets, cinchers, make-up, dolls that we can hold or have sitting on our avatar
Freckles, beauty marks, moles
More styles of glasses
Veils
Hair falls, would be cute with cowry shells or something
Raver/cyber goth clothes (pink and green <3)
Items that show our support for wuffel/knuffel
And well I think my list is getting a bit long so I am gonna stop here, I hope that you like my ideas ^^;
