Well, you're still almost 10k posts ahead of the second place ;) It'll take a while until someone kicks you off that particular throne, although it might happen one day :D

I wouldn't mind if someone does, the post count doesn't matter much to me haha

to me it really depends, if you drop in my threads I always reply or chat, just that I don't seek ppl out in other threads except on rare occasions so if my threads are dead so is my kofk social life xD

I don't have many threads of my own (just the one hangout really, nothing else is a proper chatty thread), so I couldn't do that or else I'd never really post much... I just like to hang out in a couple of threads where I feel like I'm a regular and I like the people there. I don't often go and post in any new threads.

its def the 'regular' feel, that 'its ok to post here cause these people know me' thing that makes or breaks the thought of entering someone else's thread for a chat for me c':

Yeah, if I feel like I'm a regular of the thread I have a much easier time just jumping into a conversation even if it has shifted to a new topic while I was away and I have to enter in the middle of that. If I don't feel like it's one of "my" threads (in the sense that I feel at home there and at ease with the people, not in the sense of me being the thread opener), I wonder if people will find my post intrusive or interrupting. Although most of the time that's probably nonsense and people are happy if someone stops in to chat... :D
I know I'm happy about any new face in my hangout because I'm always afraid of it dying, since it sometimes goes rather slowly :D

It is weird how we can be so hesitant to post in a thread with people who we haven't chatted with before, and introduce ourselves etc

Yeah, I guess we're just a bunch of shy weirdos :D
I sometimes find it helpful if there is a "introduce yourself" kind of form on the thread that you can post. But other times it makes it more intimidating... I wonder what the general feeling about that is, does it make it easier or more difficult?
