Where do you work Fran?
Sometimes at work I want to flip tables at customers.
Luckily there are no tables at work, only fruit .-.

I work at an office in my University where we help teachers with their class websites.
It's nice because I get to use the computer and do things I like,
such as making graphics and stuff, but we just switched to a new system online,
so everything is buggy and professors are really ... impatient. About it. ;;

Also in general I've just felt down so being at work is gross.
(Being in class is worse).

What do you do?

That's interesting. We don't have class websites. It's all collated onto something called moodle where you enrol to each course page. Lecturers add relevant work to this page and it's not difficult to use.

You're basically the IT person students call then? c:

Why do you feel gross?

I work at Boost, which is like a smoothie shop. Customers at this particular store are more rude and idiotic than at other places. Sometimes I just feel like being snappy and rude to people but I can't. Like this one time I was setting up multiple drinks and a customer assumes it's theirs, comes up to it and grabs it. (it wasn't theirs) I was so tempted to use my snappy tone. Don't touch the stuff until I call your name damn it D8< This is why I like to hide in the dish washing area >> and I hate the way everyone leans on my serving bench. Get off my bench bitches!

Well, we actually use Moodle too! That's what I mean by class websites, haha.
Just thought it was easier to say that than to explain Moodle itself.
But Moodle updated recently to Moodle 2.8 and it has a bunch of problems.
Like, professors recently had to submit Midterm grades and the Gradebook was giving them incorrect calculations.
We had a lot of calls about that, haha.

But no, our office primarily assists professors.
We have a separate IT office for students.

I just do. Not gross in like a physical sense (ok, a little in that sense.)
but just .. emotionally? I feel really drained all the time.

Ooh, smoothies! Man, I would be so nice to you.
How could anyone be mean to someone who gives them smoothies. :U
I've never worked with customers in a retail or food setting, so I can't quite understand,
but as a customer I always try to be nice and understanding. D:
For instance, my family is really harsh about tipping in restaurants.
Like they'll be ready to drop a tip for the smallest problems.
And I'm like, "Okay, it's not the waitress' fault the food isn't cooked yet."
My friends generally share the same idea, like to be as kind and patient as possible. o:

Moodle 2.8 probably explains why my grades haven't showed up yet.
Hahahaha.

Ah, yes, I get you. Hopefully the gross feeling goes away soon.

It's not always customers being picky/rude. They're also imbeciles that don't pay attention and that bothers me. I see such a difference in customers between stores and my store is by far the absolute worse.

I'm so happy Australians don't have that tipping thing. I wouldn't even know how to begin tipping if I was to visit America. Do we tip just waiters or is it shared between everyone? Why can't employers just up menu prices and pay their employees a proper salary? I don't understand. We have like optional tip jars at counters.

I can understand the frustration when dealing with the public. I'm a resident assistant at my college and people are extremely frustrating. I have to write people up for breaking policy and then they give me an attitude about it and try to fight me on it when they were the ones who broke the University rules. I'm just doing my job.

That technical issue with moodle sounds a lot like an issue my college is having with a different system right now. I feel your pain.
