Then, probably more of a fad than a trend. The average user on KofK is too creative to stick with any one theme for any real length of time...

yeaaaaaah the only reason i hardly change is because i'm too lazy to. and i always take soooooo long to make a new avatar, its just a hassle.

Eh? You change a lot, though? I mean, I do a crazy amount but I'm not normal; compared to a lot of the people I talk with on the forums you change pretty often?

I wouldn't say Hotarla hardly changes her avatar...

I would like to change mine a bit more often (I'm doing 2-3 a month) but sometimes you need that little spark of inspiration.
That's why I like the Collectors Corner contests, but they have become quite infrequent...

I can see where having higher general activity levels would make the contests more frequent, yeah...
but on the other hand I really like the aspect of KofK which is, it's this lovely refuge of a place that doesn't really place any pressures on its users, so you can disappear and come back and play how you like.... and that atmosphere does tend to have the side effect that people *are* more relaxed, which means you do get very quiet spells...

well i don't hardly change my avatar, nor do i always change my avatar. XD its more like...if a new item releases that i like, i might feel inspired to change. or, if its a seasonal/holiday change, i'll change my avatar. XD
