I can't remember how old I was when I got a computer. But we always had console video games growing up. My first console was the original nintendo. I wasn't really allowed to use the computer as a kid though. My step father hates them and thinks they are useless and so I was never really allowed to use them. Even though I needed it to do some of my papers for class. I didn't get the best grades because of it. My step dad was always verbally abusive and I never left the house except for school because I was expected to clean his whole house and do all my homework every day. I would get grounded all the time for little things like forgetting to dust. When I graduated high school and turned 18, I was kicked out onto the street and spent about 4 years or so homeless. Things are a lot better these days.

All this talk of computers makes me think I need a new desktop soon. This one is like maybe 6 years old or more? But I usually use stuff for awhile, especially when it's expensive like this.

Me too, Cat. I really wanted a new laptop for Christmas. This one is so old. Some of the keys are missing and everything.

I need a new lappy as well, mine doesn't hold a charge and is reaaaallly slow now.

I just bought a new laptop this summer. I probably shouldn't have, but what the heck it's only money. My old laptop was about 4 years old and was getting really slow. I had a lot of photos and music on it. I also ran Photoshop on it and had all the digital files stored on it. I think it just didn't have enough RAM or memory to work well for what I needed. I sold it to my sister and she says it does just what she wants, so it's all good.

My issue is I never have the extra funds to drop on one. xD

I saved my income tax refund and the lump sum payment I get from work in July for mine. It took me nearly a year to save up for my first one.

I'm not sure how the tax things are going to work now since I don't have health insurance, I'm pretty sure I'm going to have to use mine to pay the government.
