yeah i think i remember them being pretty. lol

They're a member of the mallow family, and cousins to hibiscus and rosella(sp). So the little "cheeses" that are their fruits are even edible, though if they're like the mallow fruits I've eaten they don't have much flavour.

no idea lol. firn probably already knows the previous one is gone so i guess its just a matter of time?

Pretty they are, especially the old fashioned kinds.

I didn't know mallow was related to hibiscus, nor that anybody actually still grew or harvested mallow anymore. Obvious original component of the delicious "marshmallow", which is now sadly just cartilage and sugar. I think in folk medicine, mallow is great for sore throats, and I think they use hibiscus in similar remedies too.

I don’t eat marshmallows lol. And we rarely get it anyway.
