RAAAAIINNN. Saw a school bus slide off the road into the ditch. It stayed upright, in part probably due it floated to a stop. XD
Okay, so not THAT much water in the ditch, but SO MANY flash flood warnings!

And my windshield was iced over this morning! Floods yesterday, sunshine and ice today. February is so moody.

Woww. Cars and buses turning into boats. Lol

My living room window is always iced up anymore.

I haven’t seen iced windows myself here lol.

I haven't seen 'em since I was a kid. My parents used to put plastic sheets over the windows in winter to stop it from happening. But I saw a "frost fairy" the other day. The pattern in the ice looked just like the wings that they put on the ice fairy dolls.

i've seen bars being put over windows here before on lower levels of buildings. bc snow piles up and you don't want windows breaking. so. bars. lol

Much nicer reason than why random communities around here put bars on their windows. ^_^;

Welllll I’m sure some communities here too have bars over windows for other kinds of safety reasons, not just snow related ones lol. I just remembered there being bars over windows at my old middle school bc it was built on a slope and snow buildup was a thing so the lower floors and basement windows has bars lol.

I had never heard of using bars for that reason before! The ones on the basement suites here are between the two panes of glass, so I don't think they'd help with that.

yup! i think someone once asked about why there were bars over windows in the school.....or was it during a trip into the older parts of Toronto? anyways, that's what was said, on top of it being for security reasons.
