That's unlikely, I'll just have to force myself to put in the work and push through... But today I'm working on a report draft for a different subject, that's much more fun (and a million times less important... But I get to work on it today because we have to hand in the draft by wednesday)!
Currently reading another paper that the lecturer sent to me after I told him my ideas for the topic I wanted to write about :)

At least you can split up the work with things that are more fun then :D

Yeah, that makes things better :)
I also have one day per week (wednesday) where I allow myself to not think about the stupid project at all, since that's the day that is basically full with other lectures anyway. Helps keep me sane...

Oh gosh, I remember making those lanyard things back in the day! We didn't call them that but I can't remember what we did call them. Something based on the name of the brand that was selling most of the materials and kits, I think. There was a real craze for it when I was a young teen. That would have been about 15 or more years ago, I guess.

Welcome to the thread Icey! :)

Yes, I remember those as well - from elementary school I think! It was a real craze indeed. I remember my mom was worried that the plastics were somehow harmful and I had a real hard time to get her to let me have those plastic strands... I have no idea anymore what we used to call them, actually :o

I used to make those too, Icey! They taught it to us in elementary school. I want to make some more now. Especially the beaded ones. :mcheh:

I didn't start calling them lanyards
until like waaaaaay later xD
I don't remember what my classmates called them back then either
I would just look up one day and
half the girls in class were making them ^w^
As for the beads when I was in elementary school
there was an arts and crafts class and we used to make
snakes. I took it a step further and made flags with peoples names
or other words an sold them to my classmates
it was a nice hustle I really miss making them.
I wanted to get back into it but finding good string for it has been hard
I used to used super long flat shoe string
because it would hold the shape really well
without being too difficult to take apart
Eventually I was moving around so much my materials got lost
and the shoe strings weren't long enough for my projects anymore
couldn't find a decent substitute at any of the craft stores I went to

I remember we use some kind of flat, plastic string type material to make ours. I remember making a lizard looking one once. LoL. You should make some more again! :mcglee:
