Really, it's silver in the movie? The images in my head from the books must have been way too strong, I never noticed that!

I mostly know its so from the merch, I'm not a Ravenclaw so I never closely noticed it in the movies but others have told me o;

Yeah, Ravenclaw colors are Blue and Bronze.
I wish I knew why they changed it in the movies, but I wasn't in charge of design. lol

that's sadly true, and now with the Fantastic Beasts movies Hufflepuff is making a comeback meanwhile Ravenclaw is still on the side :'c
