Yeah I lost my love of reading in college, it's hard for me now x.x

I got yelled at for reading ahead in high school before
I just ignore dher because I can go so much faster without having to pay attention to the others yapping
They took so long, by the time they read a page I was two or three pages ahead!
And if it was the students reading, even longer!
Like A Streetcar Named Desire, kids volunteered for the various roles
In the meantime, I'm already reading it

And the infamous Stella scene. The guy reading Stan's line was so wimpy about it! Teacher tried to convince the other boys, and they all turned red and noped out
I think I made their embarrassment worse by getting tired of their wussiness and yelling out the line, deepening my voice slightly and outdoing them all
Teacher was impressed, especially since I didn't give any warning, she was trying to convince one kid and I just did it

Oh, same class, different day, one of the boys was being stupid so I asked him if he was on his period. He stopped real quick

Yep, same paragraph ten minutes later because my daughter has to want this or want that or talk talk talk or something. "I'm like kid, there are other adults in this house, go bug them for a moment I'm reading." Not her. <<;
