I’ve been busy. I had to transfer when we moved so now i’m working in a new place with a different schedule. Its so weird because I got a promotion already and it hasn’t been long.

The promotion is nice. More pay and I get an excuse to play with the birds. It gets stressful sometimes though.

I'd like to move somewhere lately. I'm tired of Texas weather and all the insects.
I think Oregon would be nice, but I would not be used to that kind of cold xD

We just had a tornado warning earlier.
Sirens going off and the cable went out, so they had to do it online.
I watched their coverage and people freaking out on Facebook.

We're fine. My mom said it touched down not far from here, but at the same time - people said there was never a fully formed one.

Interestingly enough, the Native Americans that founded my town, allegedly settled here because they thought bad storms would go over us.
We had a bad tornado when my grandpa was a kid and nothing really since then.

Well that’s good. Both times I experienced a tornado warning, it touched down relatily nearby. I’m impressed that there us an area of Texas that doesn’t receive many tornados.

My grandpa had a recording of the old tornado.
It was a really really bad one.
But we have a really tall building downtown that only swayed when the tornado hit.
It didn't fall and I find that amazing.
People said it was because of its foundation.
Most of the buildings back then don't exist anymore because of the tornado.
The 1953 Waco tornado outbreak was a series of at least 33 tornadoes occurring in 10 different U.S. states on May 9–11, 1953. Tornadoes appeared daily from Minnesota in the north to Texas in the south. The strongest and deadliest tornado of the severe weather event was a powerful F5 on the Fujita scale.

I was in Florida for one of the tornadoes i experienced and the building was actually made to withstand hurricanes so the desk receptionist of the building told us to go back to bed (it was 2am).

I’m surprised they had a building that strong back then to survive while a lot of other buildings in the town crumbled.

I know. A lot of people were surprised it didn't fall.
It's still standing and still functions.
My grandpa actually had to do work there because they had coffee makers and food machines.
