Natsuyuki - Yeah, if you don't have time to watch shows then I don't see the point of paying for steaming. Though maybe you could get a friend and go splits on the cost?

The YouTube premium gets you access to the music as well.
We watch a lot of youtube but I think that he mostly uses it for the music. lol.



Hotarla - My cousin has the account. But I very rarely order anything from Amazon. Certainly not enough to justify the cost of a Prime subscription.

Yes, you can listen to the music without having it on your screen. It's very nice.



I personally prefer Marvel to DC. But there is DC stuff that I like.

No? Not really? Like i’m not like a HUGE huge fan, i just like Batman a tiny bit more than other heroes. XD;; and its not like i watch EVERY BATMAN movie/series. XD like if you ask me if i ever watched any of the older live actions, i’d give you a resounding no. XD

They do. XD so i try to limit my subscriptions.

I haven’t watched dramas in so long…QuQ like, i can’t stay still for 40 plus minutes to watch an episode without getting fidgety and bored.

I don’t use amazon THAT much but i like getting my snacks the next day…xD;; i hate going OUT to shop these days bc i don’t want to get sick, even tho covid had calmed down a bit….still, lingering fears i suppose.

Ohhh that would be nice…but…eh. I don’t watch it THAT much so i can’t justify the purchase for the like one or two times i might want to listen to music without having it on my screen…8U

I’ve watches some Marvel but like…the marvel universe is so extensive and i’ve just kinda…given up. XD;; really ive given on watching most things cuz i have no patience…XD

That's a good idea. The sad thing is most of my friend circle only uses Chinese streaming services LOL so that makes sharing these subscriptions difficult

So Premium is both shows+music huh :O I'll have to figure out how that works more. Maybe I can switch from Youtube Music to Youtube Premium

Ahhh I see I see XD I don't follow DC that much, I think I've only watched Suicide Squad and that Harley Quinn movie?

For dramas I usually put them in the background while I do other things. If you make me sit through a full episode without doing anything else I'd fail LOL
I really like the way they speak in those palace dramas. My friends joke that I learned most of my Chinese from these shows /D;;;;;


I feel that Marvel's universe has expanded too much at this point, even I have a hard time following it all. I want to go see the new Dr. Strange movie that came out last month, but before that I have to catch up with the last Spiderman, and likely WandaVision too, and that's a lot of pressure!

ohhhh i...havent really watched either...8U even though part of Suicide Squad was filmed in Toronto. i remember being downtown during the filming, not purposely though, hahahah.

oh i can't do that, leaving something playing in the background, especially if its a drama. 8U most dramas i tend to want to watch are in mandarin and.....i can't understand mandarin, i need subtitles. XD so no point in "leaving it in the background" bc i won't understand it without the subs. 8U

yeah too much stuff going on in the marvel universe. most recent marvel thing i watched was ShangChi. 8U watched it with my parents at home, even they could understand it and have a laugh at it. xD

Ahhh yeah I can't imagine multi-tasking with a K-drama either Even Chinese sometimes becomes a blur to me. So I only background the shows I've watched multiple times already and can basically recite XD

Do you guys have any of these "comfort shows" that you watch on repeat?

Also OMG Shang Chi. I watched it in the theatres first, then I recommended it to my mom because she loves Tony Leung. And I never thought I'd see my mother openly thirst over an actor. But the entire time she ooo-ed and ahhh-ed over him. It was so adorably hilarious.

No? As if they’d let you see that lol. I know they had set up a few scenes for the movie like car chases and other things but i only saw the pictures after the fact. And they change parts of Toronto a bit so that it looked American. XD

Mostly! :D
Some witty comment here, some snarky reply there, but the Victorian period was quite modest so not a lot of passion and lust in the stories from that period.

Anyway I think Austen's (well, and others') works are the mother of nowadays rom coms.
There is always some misunderstanding, some nice guy who ends up being awful, and stuff like that.

If you don't feel like something classic, I would still recommend The Lizzy Bennet Diaries, which is a great version made according to more modern standards and developed for YouTube.

Hotarla - Where I live you can get your groceries delivered to your car by a worker but it costs more. Also, I'm a bit picky about some of my foods so I would be annoyed if they got the wrong thing. So I rather do it myself. Other people are terrifying though, seeing as I am in a high antivaxxer population.

Yeah, it's not for everyone. It's nice for us though.

The marvel universe is huge. The DC one is pretty big too but I think that the way they set up their movies is a lot less interactive.

I personally enjoy trying to juggle all the timelines and stuff but I can see how that would be super annoying for someone who just wants to watch the occasional movie and not the entire lineup.

Yeah. I think that maybe music is cheaper but if you do premium you get both. And no commercials which is super nice since it seems like many videos start with an unskippable at least 30 second commercial now a days.

I have many comfort shows. I like rewatching things over and over. It's been a while since I've done it though because I'm trying to experience new things.

But I have this issue where I'm ridiculously good at guessing what's going to happen in a show or movie before it does. It simultaneously amazes and annoys my spouse. lol

Mine aren't too bad. But I am alone a lot so some days I don't speak at all until spouse gets home from work so it takes me a few tries to say something. lol.
