Well, feather, most auction sites are set up like this.
The way to avoid it is simply bidding the price you think it's worth.

It's fine with me because I know something has to be wrong with my computer because I couldn't see the updated bid even when I reloaded.

Unfortunately sniping is gonna happen in every auction :/

I believe what it is is mostly the fact that when you know users are buying items, that later in time they have plans on reselling for more or simply not really using that it affects anyone that really wanted the items.

However, I hold no ounce of issue with what lady did, what I do admit to having issues with is that even IF lady would've outbid herself (for example, lets say she bid 30k, and 10 seconds before the auctions over outbids herself by biding 35k), the bid will be CANCELED OUT even if the bid is higher than the snipers bid.

Now I understand sniping well enough, because I myself have done it as well, but I bid based on what I value it at, NOT 10FP or 100FP or some bullcrap small increment increase, that way atleast it's not a slap in the face to watch yourself lose something by such a pathetic amount.

Yes I'm honestly really ticked off because I got called into work, and just an honest statement, I would've sniped as well if I would've been off, but to know it was just last minute sniping on purpose upsets me very much.

Oh now I understand I should have outbid myself so that this didn't happen?

I've done that before myself, however what I noticed once was I bid... I think it was 10k on an item, and it got canceled out by someone that bid 9.1k....

basically if it's not refreshed immediately before your outbidding yourself, you can't bid.

I think there was an issue with the computer becaue when i refreshed at like 20 seconds it didn't show me the updated bid :/

It wouldn't be the computer, the bid just wasn't placed then. Basically it was a bid snipe where there was no possible way to counter bid
