I would personally make it shorter just because hair tends to add more height.

I am sorry, I seem to fail at explaining things, so I will try to explain this one more time as good and detailed as I can.

This base is already an improvement to the bases you showed before and it is going into the right direction.
However, I still stand by my word that it will be almost impossible to make a non-chibi base, but a full-human base as a Knuffel base that will look good.
You write that you had chibi-fied the base, but this is no chibi. A chibi is a "deformed" body, with its outstanding characteristics being the lack of real proportions and realistic parts (such as for example boobs), short and thick limbs and an over-sized head.
There are various degrees to which you can chibify a body:

    Image

The reason why chibis fit so much better is because the whole proportion of the image does not leave you enough room to make a non chibified- base with proper merging on top and bottom of the image, while at the same time not leaving too much free space to the right and left. Even if the arms are extended, reaching the left and right corner, a non-chibified base is too thin, leaving great chunks of the image unfilled, which does not look good.

Both these problems occurred with the first bases you sent me. You have made the base chubbier, so that now the space to the left and right is okay, but the merging at the top and bottom still isn't.
If you take the sample base with hair, and your raw base without hair, you can already see that there is not enough merging to the bottom:

    Image

And then you have to consider that, to the top, the sample base is already drawn with hair to show you that this is pretty much the merging you should have including hair. This leaves your base pretty little space for hair:
Image and then the Knuffel would not have enough merging to top and bottom. Of course you could draw extremely flat hairstyles only to avoid the top merging problem, but since I assume this is a base you want to work with for a while, doing a variation of different Knuffel, I suggest you make one that leaves you more space for hair without having almost every submission declined.

For your base to have roughly the right proportion you would need to squish it further, like this:
    Image

In my opinion this looks more like a very chubby person though, and not very desirable. This is just my personal opinion though, and if you wanted to draw Knuffel on this base, then I would not decline it as it is in proportion to the whole image.

If you insist on having a non-chibi base, then you either have to squish it further like above, or I suggest to give it a non-standing position, like for example vfee's Knuffel:
    Image

    Or something like this:
    Image
(not with the exact same size of course)

I hope my explanations were able to help.
I am not trying to be a pain in the butt to everyone, but I try to explain how you can make the best Knuffel possible for yourself and for other users.

Hmmm...

I Edited it slightly and have begun working
on my first knuffel, Firn...

Perhaps the fully dressed/Haired version will make
a difference in how you view the base...? D;

It will probably depend on what you mean by "slightly", but if there isn't at least as much space between bottom and legs as in the sample image, then it will be declined and this is one of the rules I go very strictly by ever since a user requested me to fix a Wild Knuffel that did not look good on the signature images because of this. And since it is not my responsibility to fix other people's work and I don't appreciate it when I get blamed for other people's mistakes, as I make enough mistakes on my own already, I am enforcing this rule strictly.

What if it was made just bit smaller, without squishing (forget the lines, didn't clean them from used image -_-)?

If you make it smaller it also gets thinner and is getting close to a critical state explained above:
The reason why chibis fit so much better is because the whole proportion of the image does not leave you enough room to make a non chibified- base with proper merging on top and bottom of the image, while at the same time not leaving too much free space to the right and left. Better size-wise? Any problems with this, you think? D;

Are we allowed to use shapes/brushes others have made?

Like before my laptop broke, I had sakura and koi shapes/brushes that I downloaded from DA (with permission).
I was planning on getting a kanji one for an idea of mine, but I didn't know if it'd be allowed since I'm using something someone else made.

And if it's not allowed....
I don't want to write kanji.
It's hard.

Yes, unfortunately the problem I explained above: Not enough merging at the bottom:

I am sorry, I really feel like I have explained the same thing a couple of times, as best as I can. I am afraid I cannot explain it any better than this and it still does not seem to be understandable but I am just at my limits and don't know how to rephrase it and what else images to use to explain this.

Maybe someone else who is more fluent in English language can explain this better to you because I cannot do it any better.

Moi: If the brushes are free to use for all purposes then yes. You will have to check with the creator of the brushes, usually people write things like this in the description of the brush.
Some people also allow you to use your brushes for whatever you want, but then it says things like "If you use these credit me" and that's obviously not possible with Wild Knuffel.

I'll definitely make sure.
Thank you.
