I don't get bleeding if I skip the sugar pills and continue to a new packet.

Same as Jacob's case.

I think it depends on what brand you use.. there's stronger versions of the birth control pill out there. I'm on the levelen ED one.

My periods were horrible before I got onto the pill, they felt the same when on the pill. They lasted a bit less as long though but tbh as a whole my period makes me more anxious and more of a hermit.

Actually when the pill was first invented they didn't have the sugar pill, it was a you go to the next packet and continue taking it. You didn't get a bleed. Then they worried about it, women worried.. etc. So they added that bit in. Though it's still not a real period per say.

Though actually a lot of people don't know that. I know it because sad to say I googled it, lots of times. I know I'm no expert but I did talk to my gp and she also confirmed the whole fake period thing.

I know it's not a period, but it's still a bleeding XD What I didn't know, was the bit about the first invented pill and no period.
But aren't you afraid the new pills are not meant to be taken non stop? Maybe you actually need that break from them?

It's this http://goaskalice.columbia.edu/answered ... th-control

Actually I've read multiple places that this continuous using of the pill how I do, helps stop endo. Or at least I guess slows it down.

I haven't had any spotting in a while. I did a few months ago.. but I don't think it was on a skip week. But because it didn't happen again I haven't noted it as a bad thing. But if it happens again, then I'll consider it worthy to talk to my gp about.

Doctor's are I guess 50/50 about if skipping continuously is good or not. It's a sort of belief thing with that. As far as I know myself, no real issue tbh. If anything had happened I like to think Peter would've told me..? (like mood changes?).

Also those on the implant bar thing, I've heard of those on it for the 3 years don't have their period at all except maybe at the start and end.

You're welcome :)

I admit I'm no expert but I feel I agree with things in those links.... why do women have to have a period all the time? They shouldn't have to if they're not procreating...

I basically let my body control stuff. So I wait until I get a little spotting and then, okay, let's skip the pill for a week and let the bleed come. Sometimes it's sooner, sometimes slower. Doing it that way I don't have any health worries. I looked into it a lot and did a lot of research by myself before I started doing it this way XD

It also helps me track my stress levels quite well. Normally speaking I'll have a bleed every 3-6 months. When I had my old job that I was miserable at, it was over a year. I probably would have had uneven periods even if I wasn't on the pill back then.

My symptoms are pretty much the same with or without the pill tbh. It can be a day or two longer than normal, which I guess is because it's kinda "saved up" for a while. But the way I look at it, 7 days in 3 months is a lot better than 5 days every month XD
