Alice, I know exactly what you mean. I sometimes have that feeling as well. Sometimes even reading is too exhausting, especially if it is some high literature or even something related to linguistics. Or in any other language than German or English.

Yay for getting a lot of reading done :) I finished a book when I was on vacation and started another one.

I finished The Gunslinger. I won another book from GoodReads. It's called Crossings.

How can you win a book on goodreads? Congrats though!

They have a whole giveaways section where you can browse pages and pages of books, and you can enter for a chance to win any of the books that sound interesting to you.

it's nice to see everyone finishing books! saying this as someone with books started in january or even last year that aren't even close to being finished

the year somehow flies by when you measure it by bi-monthly reading plans... for the next two months I'm just piling everything that ever was on my list this year. removed a few things but other than that it's the same list I had at the beginning of 2019. isn't it weird that when you have zero time, you finish 24 books and when you have all the time in the world, you can't even do 5?

in august I finished the second book in that series I wasn't sure about. now I'm sure I won't be reading the other (12) books. while this one was significantly better, I still have problems with it, so. there are too many satisfying books out there to give something you don't like another try

Now I'm reading a book called Tell Me Lies by Jennifer Crusie. I babysit two days a week now, and I usually read about 75 pages on average on each of my workdays, so I'm moving along at a pretty good pace for me.

Alice, that's a good idea to delete a few books from your list and just pile up everything you have left so far :)

I actually finished my aim for this year which was 15. I think I am at 17 already. I think I can make it up to 20 :)

I started reading "Linguistics - why it matters" by Geoffrey K. Pullum. Need to remind myself why I am going through all the trouble studying it xD

I finished Tell Me Lies and started Crossings.
