Yeahhh unless you’re breeding them to sell, i wouldn’t want to have too many of them…8U think of how much more food you’ll need, space for them to run, you wouldn’t want to keep them in a cramped place…8U they’re cute until you have to feed them all or keep them from fighting…

Also it's not recommended having more than 2 in each cage, cause they are territorial after all and they may fight - and in that case you would need to separate sections of the cage.
So a lot of room for a few rodents.

While I like them, I'm not interesed in having all my sitting room filled with gerbil cages.

Ha ha ha, what an image! I'm now picturing a room with all the walls filled of nothing but shelves of gerbil habitats. Like living inside a giant ant farm but for gerbils instead.
It's the sort of thing someone might do who found an amazing wholesale deal on terrariums and needed the money and decided to open a strange sort of tourist attraction. And it'd be weirdly popular for about a half a year and then fade into obscurity and the purblind person who started it would have to find homes for all of them.

Have you been to animal cafes?
Maybe a version of it like that would be more reasonable.

Also I love that we live in a world with animal cafes, so people who can't have pets themselves for whatever reason, can still get some time with adorable animals.

Yeah that happened with the hamsters we had before. My sister didn’t care and I’m not sure if she got one or two at a time but then there were baby hamsters and the number of hamsters just kept increasing….until of course they all started fighting and the fur was flyinggg and…xD;;;

I've never been to animal cafes, there are none here, but I've heard about them.
Honestly they sound a bit weird to me
But I see the charm.

Anyway that's an issue with pets, you must make sure you are ready to take care of them - which includes learning enough about them.
Otherwise it's very easy neglecting them in one way or another :|

nope, they all died eventually in the end. some from old age and some from fighting. xD;;

i've been to an animal cafe before. my friend wanted to go to one and there was a cat cafe in the city. so we went to visit it. you could order drinks and the cats were in a separate room and you could play and pet them and also adopt them.

It's like a specialized animal shelter that runs a cafe to cover its costs....

I do like them. Especially when I remember to bring a sketchbook! References everywhere you look.

yeaaaaaaaaaah anyway, that's the only animal cafe i've ever been to lol. xD
