Guys I'm so excited. I went to the bookstore to buy some books for Christmas presents and they had put out the book I've been waiting for forever out early. I'm so excited to start reading it. (and I remembered to cancel my pre-order because who needs two copies...) Just a shame they only had one of the 3 books I needed for gifts. Guess I'll waste money on shipping.

That's great!

I finished The Princess Curse and started re-reading Howl's Moving Castle.

I am kind of sad I didn't have a chance to read any of it last night because I was watching my nephew and by the time I was done it was too late at night.

I still need to read Howl's Moving Castle. That's one of those books that's ever present of my to-read list constantly. I've been fiddling around with what books/series to start next year I should really make this one a priority.

I'm about 1/3 of the way through Howl's Moving Castle. I forgot how different it is from the movie.

Also I just put up the 2021 reading challenge thread, so start thinking about next year's reading goals!

Huh, I failed so miserably this year that I wonder if I even belong in that challenge xD
Still hoping to finish the Hobbit before the New Year's Eve :mclol:
Still reading Aron's book about HSPs.

I'm doing less, that for sure. I like how I have a habit to go read around 7:30-8 every night, but I sometimes put off doing other things to go read. Especially since I got some THICK fantasy books picked out, with one I know will take me over a month to read.

Still, proud of myself for still getting (close to, still reading) 15 books this year. I've been wanting to get back into reading and I finally did. Nothing dramatic as the 20+ books I used to read in one school year when I was in high school. Which is probably because I didn't read as thick of books back then.

I've been setting my goals lower than I used to as well.

Hm, maybe I was overly ambitious indeed. I'll have to tell the future me to cut me some slack XD

I'm at 9 books out of 10. don't know what number to aim for next year but I want to read more in German and more non-speculative fiction. maybe I shouldn't challenge myself with numbers at all but keep track of whether what I read falls into those categories or not. I'll make an approximate list of books anyway, just to enjoy formating it. not sure what to do with that arbitrary number for goodreads yet :mcheh:
