I've donated hair before, but it only took a year and a half to grow to a good length back then. Now it's different. Somehow the women in my family have hair that can grow ridiculously fast and long during childhood and teenage years. And then in their twenties it kind of stops. We grow new hair, and it still grows in length, but it stops growing at a certain length (only just past the shoulders). I've been growing my hair out for three years now and it's only just reached past shoulder length. I'm kind of starting to miss having long hair....

Edit: I just had to share this, but my dog is now officially my knight in furry armor. I hate spiders. If they spook me I'm scared to death of them (if I can see them from afar and avoid them I'm semi-ok with them). Now there was this huge spider that suddenly jumped right in front of my bare feet. Scared me and spooked me (I know. it's irrational, but creepy crawlies *shivers*)
My dog just jumps up and starts stomping on it and biting at it (ew but just imagine a small dog batting and stomping on a big spider). I'm so happy she helped. After scaring that spider off she just came back and sat next to my feet looking at me all "what're you so spooked about, feeling better now?".
My knight in furry armour. (sorry. just had to share with someone... Random, I know...)

@ moi- I've been out and about a lot the past few days. I went to a museum today called the 'ghost town museum'. It was pretty neat. Had like little rooms set up like they were from the time of the gold-rush and stuff. And there was a spot where you could actually pan for gold, hahaha.

@ Vineda- goodness that sounds annoying to have to wait for it to grow so long! ;A;
All the women in my family pick a length of hair and just stick with that for their whole lives for some reason lol. but I think it still grows at an average rate.

Awww what a nice doggy ;u; <333
I've had to learn to get along with spiders since I'm in the basement and that means tons of bugs. I'd rather have a spider in the corner than flies buzzing around my head and ants crawling on me. @_@
But I also have kitties to help me if a spider starts running at me or something.

Yeah. I don't exactly hate spiders. I used to have a few where I lived during University. It's just the spooking me thing. If they just pop up out of nowhere I'm scared whitless... If they're stationary (sort of anyways) then I don't mind sharing a room with them, just as long as they remain smaller than my erasers. Once they outgrow that, I just take a cookiebox and put them outside somewhere. It's really the freaking out due to 'shock' that bugs me about them...
Cats are lovely keepers by the way. My previous cat could scare other critters away just by looking about them... Must be something in the aura they exude...

I hope your basement is warmer than the average basement here... I can never get rid of the feeling that I'm freezing whenever I visit one (several friends of mine had basement rooms during University).

It does. It's one of the reasons it's addictive...
I love it to bits. One of the reasons I'm torn about moving abroad or not. Chocolate is so expensive abroad... :mccry:
