I've ammonia in my tap, but I use Zeolite to get it out (used up almost all my Ammonia test bottles to do ammonia tests on the tap and zeolite stuff) so finally had that under control then BOOM ammonia spike. =/

Thanks for the tip. Wait, do you have salt or freshwater? We have two freshwater tanks. Are there freshwater shrimp? XD Dad had talked about getting snails, I'm a little scared they'll breed like crazy though. We accidentally got some type of snail once and they bred like rats, it took us forever to get rid of them.

No, they don't. And when they do get run over they just get another dog. It makes no sense and it makes me angry.

I have Amano Shrimp.

The only draw back of Amano Shrimp is that they need Brackish or Saltwater for the babies to live.. Very few have managed to breed these guys in captivity.

For snails, if you don't want an over population get Nerite Snails. While they will lay eggs all over the place, the eggs need brackish/saltwater to hatch (like my amano shrimpies) I want a Tiger Nerite >:x so pretty

Pond and Bladder snails are the more common "Pest Snails" because they don't need a partner to procreate. Ramshorn Snails are another type of pest snail but these ones do need a partner I think. Not sure on Mystery Snails.. o3o
