If you read often, an e-reader is a better option. It really is easier on the eyes.
But of course it's more limited - it's only good for one thing - while a tablet can do many other tasks.

yeaaaaah but they're not as handheld or small as my itouch........8U i haven't seen an ereader or tablet i could fit into my pants pocket or a small purse lol. XD unless.........there IS one? XD

No idea, I've had this one for so many years, and it's definetely much bigger. Book-sized, not phone-sized.
I use a backpack instead of a purse, so carrying a book is no big deal for me

yeaah i like my itouch because its like a smartphone just without the calling part and its sorta like a tablet. actually probably more like a tablet but phone sized...XD

I've never been able to get into reading on my phone or tablet. If I am reading something online, like fanfiction or a webnovel, I usually prefer just reading it on my computer.

Tbh I don't read in my computer either. These screens do not feel nice to the eyes.
Also I like to stay away from them at nighttime - which is my fave moment for reading.
But e-readers are different, I like using mine for reading at night.

How do you keep your wrist from hurting when you use an e-reader? Since it's not flexible like actual books, doesn't it hurt after a while?
