Your familiar needs to be an epicurean animal, that can distinguish a crazy amount of flavors and tastes. Because only such a familiar can truly appreciate the privilege of "licking the spatula" which is granted to your bonded beastie.
Problem is, I'm not sure what that would be.
Let's make something up, then.
The mythological-level familiar of the Vatch. Born when a batch of magic-infused batter is baked just right.
