The closest store that sells manga (and only mainstream shounens) is an hour's drive away for me...
I wish we had a store that sold even a little....
All manga I want, I need to order online and have shipped overseas... (either from UK, US or Japan)
Luckily there's a small yearly con here that sells manga as well (not the main, but still part of it)

Why'd they close?

I don't know. I always assumed it wasn't doing good sales-wise.
It was way bigger than the two I go to now and had a lot more to choose from.

I've seen our local mainstream bookstores here sell mangas...AND BL stuff as welll! XD its kinda funny when I see them, I laugh because they're stuck in saran wrap/cellophane and you can't look inside.......ROFL!

I also know of several manga stores in the city and its not thaaaaat far away, maybe like 45mins or so by train...and I live right next to a major train/bus station so its literally like a hop, skip, jump away...xD

and of course, cons have manga too so...xP

Vin: Love Snatcher? I'm not sure, what's the Japanese name? XD;; I actually have downloaded several series by Naono on my computer...xD the scanlators have a website where you can download them directly...xD I wish I COULD read Japanese but I'm stuck with reading translated scans...xD;;I do try to support mangakas whenever I can though! ;3;

If it's wrapped in plastic, it automatically gets my attention *u*

Well. I can read japanese, I just can't find the raw... (half the time it says 'not available in your country')

and it's the third story from yokubou shounen... I think

M o i : I agree. curiosity is my death sentence really...
Though it's always funny whenever I went bookshopping at that city an hour away, with a guy I know, they somehow always ended up looking at it and fleeing like hell was on their heels... They never learn either. Next time it'd be the same story simply because they 'banned it from their memories'. You should see some of their faces...

I know right! They're soooooo cute!
I wish it had a sequel...

And yeah. When I went to Japan I bought quite a few manga (sadly, not nearly enough) I wish I could go back... but those 10 days already cost me more than I could afford (my bank account is still recovering) and it's been a few years since then... :mcheh:

RIGHT? Some of the others I liked had like mini sequels...I was so happy that Black Outsider had a mini sequel! >w<

AHH I wish I could go to Japan! >n< although I guess its better that I actually can't read Japanese or I'd spend so much money on mangas, it wouldn't even be funny...>3<

Have you ever thought of being a scanlator? You know, helping people translate Japanese raws? O:

I have thought of translating indeed, but I can't do the editing in the images to save my life (I tried) so I'd need to find a place that lets me help out purely for language and doesn't mind me leaving if I find a job...

I wouldn't know who to contact either...

I don't let anyone look at what I buy.
