Soooooooo dad accidentally called me his biological oldest today in front of mom
Usually mom gets mad when she hears about her stepdaughter (very long story, tl;dr is stupidity happened and mom got butthurt), but this time she went off in hysterics
But so did I which confused dad because suddenly we were laughing
Mom told him, and I backed her up cuz he did
He asked multiple times if he did
The last time was to just me after I had calmed down

I admit to being confused by that story, but I'm glad that it ended up with you guys laughing.

(I also admit that hearing anyone referred to as a 'biological' child immediately makes me think 'inorganic robot children' as the alternative. Which is weird because I have stepsiblings and we've a lot of people adopted into the family, plus the in-laws, so you'd think that response would have been conditioned out already. But no. Every time I hear that, my brain always leaps to "secret mad scientist creates cyborg children")

Also, I found that if Rufus is using the litterbox in my room he likes to have a stare down with me as he's pooping
