Supermarkets and clothing stores are also closed on Sundays, but not museums and cafés, because that is the day families can go out and do stuff together because the parents don't have to work :)

In Poland, up to a few months ago I think, Sundays weren't any other for stores and supermarkets. The working hours were an hour or two hours shorter than other days. Then our ruling party said it's a big no-no because church, god and all that shit and so now most supermarkets and all stores are closed on Sundays. On one hand, it's okay, but on the other.... Sundays were usually paid 200% of rate, at least in most companies, soo.... yeah...

Edit: Hey, confetti rain, I finally completely quit that mobile game! :D Ash will be proud. I logged in, told them I quit, wrote a general goodbye message to everyone and logged out. In a few days I'll just uninstall the game, for now I'll leave it. I don't have time nor will to log in there anymore so I might just forget about it XD It was too time consuming.

I am quite biased regarding that matter. I grew up with supermarkets and shops being closed on Sundays, so I never saw this as a necessity. Some states in Germany though have their shops open on Sundays so that people are annoyed by our state having them closed. It's just a matter of being used to things or not.

I thought it was convenient that the shops were open on Sundays in Ireland, but I just would have reorganized my schedule if it was different, so no biggy for me :)

@jacob: exactly, I'd still appreciate the stores being open. There's always something missing and you can't buy it because everything's closed

@Julez: I think it's not even as much the case of getting used to it, but it's more human nature: we've had something very convenient and now it's taken away from us. So we feel it's unfair.

Yea maybe it is also about the convenience :)
