Does Wizard101 cost anything?

Yeah me too. He worries me.

It's free, but as far as I can see you can purchase some additional content for money. Since I've only started I can't tell how limited the free playing will feel, but it doesn't look like it's pushing the paid features terribly so far.

Can I also please join the raffle :)?

I am doing quite well, doing an internship again, this time in my country :D 3 weeks have passed, two to go :) how are you?

I'm adding everyone in, and I'll be picking winners tomorrow after work cause I'm tired right now haha :P

Wizard101 is free to play but definitely becomes a pay to play game later on. At a certain moment all quests will require you to go to areas that aren't free to everyone. You can either buy crowns or a membership to gain access to more areas to keep playing then. Personally I have a membership, costs me 10$ a month and it gives you access to all areas and worlds and other benefits. Personally I'd give it a try and play, it takes a bit till you even get to the point where you can't access an area I think. And then you can decide for yourself if you like the game enough to pay.

Definitely not a good idea imo to immediately pay when you just start playing, there's already a good bit of playing you can do for free to really discover whether you like the game :)

if you're capable of playing for a bit and then dropping it its fine haha

but I know for some people it takes away some of the enjoyment to know there's a part they'll have to quit cause it starts costing money ;P

Hm.... Yea I think I belong to these people, too. I am totally fine with e.g. not being able to complete all quests and go everywhere with certain areas of the world being closed for the paying customers, but it does sound quite disturbing to know that you simply cannot play any further at one point. Did I get that right?

I sometimes hate that in games....

rather just pay a full price.


otherwise it just feels like a demo
