Firn said that the contest is based more on design as opposed to the quality, so you are correct!Themis wrote:I realize it's a bit late to be asking this since I just finished voting, but oh well.
Were we supposed to judge based on the artwork and quality or based on the character and how much we'd like them as a new NPC?
Curious cause I voted based on Character rather than the art skills.
Don't worry Themis, I did that too. I pictured the character if the design would work as a shop keeper. And there are some really amazing artworks in there but I couldn't feel the shop keeper vibe so I had couldn't vote 5 for it. :cThemis wrote:I realize it's a bit late to be asking this since I just finished voting, but oh well.

Eheheeh. I like that.Ciel-Kun wrote:Themis wrote: Also this might be a little silly and lame but I kind of ship the two steampunk entries LOL. orz
Exactly. Some of the best drawn ones had the more generic concepts, whereas the ones I voted for had some major originality and I liked that.Amura wrote:Finally done voting![]()
I also voted on the character design, not the artistic skills.
Some entries are wonderfully drawn but, well, I don't see them as NPCs at all.
On the other hand others had a cute funny concept which I would not hesitate to consider a great shop keeper, and since I assume that they will be re-drawn to match the other NPCs style I don't see any reason to not give them the highest scores.
