One can only dream I suppose. I've only got Timewarner here and they can pretty much do whatever they want because it's either them or no internet at all which is pretty shitty.

Making a super random entrance here, but do you guys know the story behind the whole internet data caps popping up suddenly thing? IS there a story? Both my girlfriend and I started having problems with that recently, and I keep hearing people vaguely talking about it as a "thing" that "happened", but I have no idea who/what/where/why @.@

All I really remember was there being like a court order or something that the internet companies brought up. Apparently it got passed for certain places or something? I'm not too clear about it all though. I think I'd be a little more clear if it affected me

Ohhhhhhhhh. That makes a lot of sense. I was so confused about why this was suddenly all happening. Ugh, internet companies. There's so little competition in my country that the rates just keep getting worse and worse, and now this happens. Thank you for telling me though.

I grew up with dial-up, next option up was data cap, so I'm confused when people are asking about a data cap like it's a brand-new thing. I've been dealing with it for about seven years now, it's far from new
We get DirectTv television but not their internet. Same for AT&T and that's the phone company dad's phone runs off of, and his phone has a better signal than mom's and mine most of the time (our phones are Verizon)

On my phone I don't really mind the slower speeds after a certain amount but I feel like on wifi, it should most definitely be unlimited.
