I'm reading Goodreads to track my challenge :) oh there's an idea, if anyone wants to add me as a friend I'm here - you can see each others' progress on reading goals once you're both friends.

Hahaha *highfives all round*
Goodreads is like a drug, I swear. Every time I go on there I read some review of a book that sounds interesting, and the reviewer is like "oh it also reminded me of this book" so I go look at that one and THAT sounds interesting, then there's another one who recommends ANOTHER book... my want-to-read list is growing and growing XD

I know! Have you seen the giveaways too!? I added a ton to my to read list from that. I have so much on my to read list now that I have to sort of put on blinders when I go to GoodReads! I just go on, mark my book as read or whatever, and get out lol.

our bookstore has 15% off books in foreign languages so I used the gift cards I got for my birthday and checked 7 books off my list for if someone wants to give me a book.

but I also added 7 books to the pile of unread books I own... ugh what did I just do... :mclaugh:

I think I added two books because of giveaways. once I used the recommendations function and added 4 books as a result. most of the books I add are not even because of goodreads, but storybundle. many nonfiction books were recommended by youtubers I watch. or in classes on writing or storytelling. a lot of fantasy on my tbr is from some tumblr list(s) or from critique bloggers. and within the books I found via goodreads, some are from friends' updates, and a good portion is from searching for specific topics and lists.

so goodreads is not THAT dangerous for the size of my tbr. there are worse places :mclol:

I don't know if it's just in my region or whatever but Kindle Unlimited has a sale on for three months for £1.99 or whatever the currency is until the 31st of January. Guess who just got back on Kindle Unlimited :mccool:

(don't tell the big pile of books by my bed)
