There's something hinky though.

If you look at those numbers...

Before Caravan: ................. After Caravan:
Posts: 17,685 ....................... 17, 778
Donuts: 49 .............................162

162 - 49 = 113
But
17,778 - 17,685 = 93
And during the caravan, 1 post = 1 donut.
Those numbers should match.
And they don't.

And I wasn't posting in the Spam or the Word Games forums.

So.... somewhere here on the forums, there's an area where it counts if you post, for Donut purposes, but does NOT count for post counts.

And that's going to mess with our calculations.

But if you had not received the "you earned 1 donut" message you probably would have noticed, wouldn't you?

It's not that there are 20 donuts missing.
It's that there are 20 donuts EXTRA.

(This is definitely the right direction to have an error in, ha ha ha ha, but it's still an issue when it comes to the accuracy of the data)

This is why I'm determined to do several months of this... if it continues to show the same disparity, we know to investigate further. If this time is an outlier, then we know I made a mistake...

Isn't it possible that you can get more than one donut for a post and didn't notice? I thought only outside of the caravan that was possible but wouldn't that explain there being more donuts than posts made?

I guess I should make an update as well. I spent the donuts I got so these are some fresh numbers. Since I had 8 before and spent 20, I should have made 13 donuts?

I never noticed earning more than 1 donut during Caravan time...
But I guess it's something to keep an eye on too.

Yeah, sometimes, you earn multiple donuts on a single post. That's more than likely what happened to cause the discrepancy.

I haven't really been paying attention to post numbers or donuts, but here's where I'm at right now:

Donuts: 84
