Ironically, it's my hometown. The District manager didn't know this at the time, but early March, by brother did something idiotic, fractured his skull, and ended up in a coma. He is recovering, with no real brain trauma yet, but I was able to spend a lot more time with my family these past few weeks than I have in literal years.
They only sent me along to get my Husband to support a store. Still, pulled my weight and the new General Manager is really impressed with both of us.

Wow, that's some seriously well-timed serendipity, that you were able to see family during a time like that!
Impressing the boss is a nice side benefit, too. :)
Do you guys get sent various places frequently or do you normally get to stay around a home base and trips are more unusual?
I've really only ever travelled with family, and never for work, so I'm not sure how that works at all.

It was truly astounding.
Honestly this is the first time I've ever been invited to a store- Again, I was just the cherry to trying to get Dee to go. He hasn't travelled for 2 years, since he went Salary, but before, he spent about 2 to 3 months a year on the road. We live in the United States, Florida, but he travelled all over with our job. Mostly the State itself, think he did 8 openings, then Louisiana, and Kentucky.
There are 8 visiting managers here. I'm the only one without a manager title. Super nervous not to mess up while representing my store and my Husband. But one has already spoke to him about maybe visiting Texas.

YAY! I finally have a full event set!
The little event pet was sooooo helpful. I'm so glad I spent an FC in it.

Congratulations on the Event Set!
I am quite thankful for the little pet as well! But finally have time!

I did have a little time, but I was not sure whether that would be enough.
Probably not now that my holidays are over...
So I feel it was good investing in the pet this time.

I've been buying all the colors per item. Got the first 2 rows/ first 6 items! Now we are on the other side, and the items look a LOT cheaper!!

Wow, nice work Amura!
I am more than halfway to a complete set, but there are a lot of items I'll never use so this is an event where I won't be heartbroken if I don't make it.
So it's not too bad!
I want to get the tops next.
Already have the eyes, hair, hair extension, and hairpins.
If I can manage it after the tops, I want to get the basket, background eggs, and maybe the brooch too.
I'll never use that hat or the earrings for sure, probably never the armbands or undershirt.
If somehow I suddenly get a lot of free time and have a plethora of eggs I'd first go for duplicates of the eyes/hair/extensions and sell them because this seems like one of the harder events to complete...

Well, not so much of a good work, I was just wealthy enough to "hire" that cute little pet to get the eggs for me.
I was positive I was not going to make it without it.
I will probably not use most of those items, but even so... a collector is a collector

Speaking as a knuffel collector...
I get it.
