Yeah, it does wear you down. I really wanted to be a vet or a vet assistant but I don't think I had it in me xD

I've had Agoraphobia since I was a kid. Or I think so at least. I got diagnosed with it in my mid or late teens. I don't think I'll ever be cured tbh. Seems to have gotten way worse xD

I have a vet tech friend and she says it can be tough sometimes, but also seeing pets come in for their checkups makes it worth it for her. If you go into a field that can be sad like that though, I suggest going to regular therapy if possible. I'm on a SSRI to help with my anxiety and depression and attended a few therapy sessions to discuss some of the stuff I witnessed/dealt with. I also know that there was a solid period during covid that I just emotionally shut down which I think is a strategy a lot of us techs were using at the time to cope.

You probably will never be cured, similar to how those with anxiety, ptsd, or depression will probably have to deal with it for the rest of their lives. I suggest therapy, meds, and finding activities/jobs that don't require being in large spaces or crowds.

I've been a shut-in for like...Well, over 15 years.
I don't think the damage can be undone.
I do have a therapist but I haven't seen him since COVID hit.
I also don't take any antidepressants because mine stopped working.
I was supposed to see a doctor for new ones but I refused to leave the house so xD

Is tele-health an option? i did that when I worked for the cancer center because the hours almost perfectly overlapped with my therapists office hours so I would just leave 10 mins early and do the appointment in the car from my phone.

I don't mind bats or birds but keep those butterflies away from me. The way the fly around pretending like they don't know how to steer but then they can land on the tiniest flower. They're just trying to sneak up on me.

I had a friend who hated moths for the same ish reason. I don't mind more flying creatures except for wasps and mosquitos.

My sister gave a butterfly Pepsi once. It started flying like it was drunk.

What I hate more than anything else in the universe is roaches.
They can fly too >>
I HATE them so much xD

Oh I forgot roaches can fly. Add that to the list of flying insects I'm not a fan of.
