Quick question. My next knuffel I am working on has part of her hair and a dress that are similar to a character from a television show that I really did not intend to have happen, but it does look similar. Would this be alright? These are totally based on my own designs, but I just wanted to be sure.

Any information would be helpful. Thank you!

I would think the hair would be fine as no one owns a hairstyle.
I'm sure if you looked hard enough, you'd see a lot of knuffel have hairstyles another character has.

Not sure about the dress, but Firn mentioned similar designs existing when I was accused of copying someone, so it may be all right.

Thank you for your input Moi. :qh:

The hair really isn't a totally noticeable thing; just the up part if it is similar. The rest changes throughout the stages so I was not thinking it would be the same at all.

The more I look at the dress, it is only really similar in stages two and three, but changes and gets added on during stages four and five. Hopefully that is not a huge issue, but I guess it is better to be sure than now that to keep working on it if I am not allowed to do it at all.

I also do not want to be accused as well, so I definitely know where you are coming from. ^^

In the end it really depends on how similar something is regarding the whole design of the Knuffel. I usually do not have a problem with people copying for example the idea of a single item, I have done it myself, with for example some Final Fantasy inspired clothing, and there are also other items on KOfK which were inspired by things I have seen on other people's work.
So, if you see something and think "I want to draw that hair", or "I want a shirt/dress/pants like this", that's usually fine with me, as long as you do not copy the complete outfit/the complete character design.

Thank you so much Firn! I feel better about continuing on the rest of my stages. I appreciate the feedback! :qh:

Do you mean proportion or size? :I

I overlayed it with the knuffel base, and this is what i get:
Image
The feet have to be on line with the feet of the original knuffel base, so it wouldn't be accepted alone because of that. And the head might be too high up too...

And the base just leaves way too much empty space in the image.
If you go 2 or 3 pages back there is a whole discussion about real-proportion body bases and why in most cases they will be rejected where you can get more information.
Getting a non-chibi base approved as Wild Knuffel is almost impossible.

Could someone please help me with what I could change in my knuffel?
He has been rejected due to lack of evolution. my guess is stage 4 to stage 5.

the knuffel

thank you in advance :)
