All of you are so happy in the picture. And I love your outfits. I forget what they are called >.< Sorry about that. And all of you are so pretty~

At least you did get to enjoy yourself, even if it's a little, better than nothing. Sorry to hear about your bad teachers. I hate having them. I had too many when I was in school and it's... so sad that those kinds of people are the ones responsible for teaching us stuff. Ugh.

Thanks :mcsquee:
We're wearing saris :qh: though a couple of us including me are wearing half-saris (langa voni in Telugu, and I think lehenga in Hindi).
Yes it is :mcangry: I don't think people give enough importance to the fact that children need to be treated more carefully and especially we who are at the most competitive stage and under a lot of stress.
Are you not in school right now then? (Lucky you to be done with it!)

Ah that was what I was thinking they were called but didn't want to chance being wrong and possible offending you. Rather pretty words though.

Ugh schools are too stupid I swear now a days. They put too much into scores I think in some areas than actually helping the kids with the disorders they might have with learning and that.

Happily I am not in school but it is something I keep thinking about going back to. I'd have to take a big test though to get back into school but I might do that in the future when things settle down here.

Yes indeed. You can see brutal filtering out of the fittest most in the educational scenario. The ones who are biologically and psychologically better able to cope win and the ones who need help are literally left to perish and belittled every day on top of that :mcangry:

Oh I see, good luck to you then if you decide to go for it and hope things settle down for you soon :mchappy:

Thank you very much~

Exactly. I was one of the kids belittled because I am a form of dyslexia. But for numbers. Rather annoying to deal with. I am finding little tricks on how to handle it. Still make mistakes but they are not as bad as they used to be. Plus where I live in the States, I hear too much about how bad teachers are. They have gotten worse since I was in school. At least I haven't heard if anything is bad or worse with college.

I think it must be a lot better in college because students aren't singled out for the most part, they just listen to lectures and are given assignments. And how they perform is up to them. I'm yet to go to college though so don't quote me on it. But I can't wait to go to college, I feel like it must definitely be better than this.

And yes college is most definitely better I've just graduated last year and even though some things were difficult it was a whole different atmosphere from high school I had a lot more freedom and even though I had a few lecture and assignment classes most of mine were very hands on with small classes but I went to culinary school for baking and pastry.

That is wonderful to know Luna, thank you. How was culinary school? That sounds amazing and like fun. Something I would love to do.

It was actually very fun yet challenging at times I actually went to 2 different schools the first one was A program that specialized in cooking such as learning the master sauces, breakfast dishes , knife cuts, etc. but the problem with that school was unfortunately it only had a few classes for baking and pastry which was unfortunate as I wanted to be a pastry chef however the classes there overall were very fun despite that the only one I didn't enjoy was classical dining which is where they train you in waiter and waitress service as well as wine service, table setup and so on I was okay at it but that kind of thing makes me nervous it didn't help for part of our final on it we had to serve actual customers dining at the school :mcgloom: but then a new school opened up nearby me and they had a whole division devoted to the pastry arts :mcglee: So I ended up transferring there which was a good thing not just for the programs but the first school was very far away from me I had to take 3 buses and get up at 6:00 in the morning just to get there at 8:00 so whew.
But At the new school I learned a lot such as cake decorating sugar flowers working with fondant and chocolate, small french pastries macarons included from scratch, designing my plate presentation, I got to judge for a county fair, the list goes on :mchappy:

Oh wow Luna that sounds amazing for your pastry school. That is something I always wanted to do. Go to school for cooking. I love cooking so much and have been doing it for fun since I taught myself at 13. Glad things worked out for you. Weird that they taught you how to serve but kinda interesting at the same time though.
