New year is going well so far. My temporary position at work is lasting longer than I was expecting. Didn't really have any fireworks around here though.

Temporary position lasting longer ... I take it that's a good thing?

The people here really can't get through Christmas or the New Year without fireworks. I was getting used to the noise ... until my dad decided to blast the radio at max volume. Something about the noise keeping the evil bad luck-ness out of the house.

My temp position is 40 hours a week (compared to less than 30), and 30% more per hour. Plus, while it' a little more stressful, it's far more satisfying too. So yes it's a good thing XD

Also today for some reason I got picked to go to a pretty important meeting. So I admit I'm hoping we'll get to a point where this is no longer just "temporary'.

I was given another responsibility instead with no reduction of pay or hours, which really follows up on the meeting I had yesterday.
