Yeeaaaaah i got all the flat surfaces. For Father’s Day, we went to a place for fishing and we brought along the son of a family friend’s friend who came to
Ontario for an internship. He originally lives in BC. The family friend wanted my family to look out for HIS friend’s son (so like we don’t even KNOW this friend of his). The poor kid (and really to us, he really is a kid, he’s only like 18 or something) doesn’t have a car, doesn’t know how to cook….8U so sometimes during the weekend, my parents would ask if he would like to go on a grocery run with them. Poor guy is literally living off vegetables and protein shakes lol because he can’t cook anything truly RAW (like meat and stuff).

ANYWAYS, we took him along for Father’s Day fishing and he remarked that Ontario was so FLAT compared to where he lived. XD he was also telling us how his dad was all alone with the DOG on Father’s Day because the wife had gone on a trip to the States lol. Poor dad.

Niagara is too FAR to just have it for a simple day trip lol. Its only worth it if you stay a day or more there. XP

Oh man, that's a complicated relationship line: "son of a family friend's friend" XD

College is a good time to learn how to cook though. I didn't really know how to cook any meats before I started living alone, and kinda just learned by trial and error :mcargh:

I really want to visit Niagara again, it was so majestic!!

YEAH, like huuuuuge favor, doing something for someone you don’t even know. But like…asian community i guess so…xD

He’s not spoiled per se, just….i guess since he’s still young and his parents still cook for him, guess he never had to learn. XD;;

Eh. Its nothing special. XD;; there’s this Pink Panther ride on top of the building near…the Rainforest Cafe? Its kinda hidden-ish, you don’t see it unless you look up. But its like a mix between those air-born swings and like those revolving tea cups kind of festival rides…and it will go up and the people inside the ride can twirl the “cup” round and round til they’re sick but at the same time, you get an almost panoramic view of the niagara. There’s also the large ferris wheel there.

LOL yup, that special brand of asian community ties.

A while ago mom got messaged by this daughter of a family friend whom she had not contacted with in decades asking her to help her relative's kid who is now in Canada pay some rental deposit? We were like wtf???

There are rides in Niagra? :OOO I only remember/know the waterfall and the boat ride :mcheh:

We assumed that there must be an implied "plz help him pay because it's easier to EMT within the country and we'll pay you back" but it was never explicitly said and thus very sketchy LOL

Wow I don't remember these parts at all /DDD;;;; Then again the last and only time I visited Ontario was over 10 years ago XD;;; This is making me want to travel there more now! :DDD

Lool yeah sounds like loads of sketch. XD

Uh…..yeah i’m PRETTY sure those rides were there like 10 years ago. XD;; the Niagara Falls Clifton Hill Skywheel is something you really can’t miss. XD;; and the Pink Panther ride has probably been around for just as long, its this really rickety old ride. XD;;

My memory is pretty bad for childhood events tbh XD;;;
I feel guilty because that was when we went on the most vacation trips to interesting places, and I only remember vague bits here and there.

Like we went to Montreal and literally all I can remember was this maple-vanilla soft serve I ate there :mcargh:

I see. That sucks. I mean, major landmarks in tourist places that have been around for yearsss…xD but i guess, if its been so long, its understandable that memories can get a bit foggy.

Oh. Montreal and Quebec. Home to the Biodome and the streets of Old Montreal and Canadian Notre Dame
