Ohh that sounds like fun. I'm not so great at even making background info or world building, but my bf likes that kind of thing. I just like making pretty outfits and hair. ;_;

Ahaha kinda. I think with my pace in drawing + how much I make it ends up paying about as well as a part time job. I really need to get faster *_* then I can rake in big bucks lol.
For now it's like when I take commissions I get a loot of money. But then I can't take more work for like 3-4 months while I get through it all. =_= So I fill in those gaps with adoptables, but they're only when I have time to.

Aha, if you work together, you can make even greater characters~!

I just like that sort of thing. When I create a character, I end up thinking and writing down all the details of their life. Who are they? What do they like? How did their past, family, personal beliefs, culture affect them? What is their world and culture like? It goes on and on and on.

Ooh, I see. Yeah, drawing takes forever for me too. :X

Haha yeah he plays DnD with his friends once a week, but he's addicted to making characters. He has a folder with all these characters he makes and he has all this back story for them. And the poor thing never gets to play them. XD
But I help him make characters sometimes and we bounce around ideas, which then gives me more ideas for adoptables, haha.

It's easy to get sucked in, even if I'm not that great at it.

Dude, I love that; Ocean and I bounce ideas off each other all the time! It's always more fun when you have someone to work with.

Idk tho it's hard to know what's what when everyone is flinging around info. I still have 9 months of premium so I'll be there a while still. But if this drama keeps up I'll have to find somewhere else if my fanbase starts deactivating. I keep seeing people say they're leaving cause of all this? but idk sometimes people get really fussy really fast and then things calm down?

I wish DA was a bit better at explaining wtf is happening all the time.

But I really wish they'd re-think that hideous orange star, lol.

@ Mikael Hart- yeah bouncing ideas is so much fun. Sometimes we spend hours just talking about different ways a character would act or different things in their world, ect.

@ Moi- I don't like their new logo thing.. I don't get how it's supposed to represent DA, plus it was ripped off of another smaller company (which I suppose it kind of ironic since DA is known for art theft lol). And now the new orange stars are also a rip off of another company's design? Hahah it's all kinda funny to me. I don't care about the design of the stars, but I wish they were in like green or something that made more sense. Bright orange looks so gross against the weird grey of the site and it really clashes with the green.

It's like... you're a site for artists please use a little artistic sense. thank you.

I really just don't care as long as the people I like don't leave.
I hope they don't.

@Raine: Dude, I know what you mean. I have a RL friend I do that with --we would sit over coffee or tea and make up stories together.

We have one where we and our friends were genderbent; in that one, we were roommates who everyone thought was a couple, and our "sisters" were running an all-girl band. It was incredibly silly.

Then there was one where we were vampires, but it was again, silly, and full of dark humor. [My friend likes to play the Sims, so this was actually a spin-off of the characters she made on there.]

My favorite, however, was one about a prince, an adviser, a guard, and a magician, and the adventures of their travels. Unlike the others, this story actually had some meat to it, and we drew up art of the four.

For the characters you talk about, are they both yours and his? Which is/are your favorite/s?

@ Moi- I feel ya. I've already seen a few people I watch leave, but they at least had tumblrs that I could follow instead. @_@

They end up being my bf's characters. I don't play DnD, so I don't really have a use for them. (plus he kinda designs them to be... things I don't find appealing. So I don't really draw them.)

But she is really quiet and stoic, and a druid. But she would do funny things a lot and through an accident she ended up eating some meat and became infatuated with it even tho most druids are vegetarians. So she was very motivated to do anything with the promise of meat as a reward. And she had a grumpy, really old screech owl as a familiar. He was like a grumpy grandpa to her, lol.

I think she's my fav. But I helped him make an inquisitor class recently. I think she was like part cat or something. But she was secretly evil and would wait until the rest of the party went to sleep, turn into a cat, and create mischief. In the end I think she ended up taking over a pirate ship and becoming captain. XD

A lot of the story stuff for them comes from his gameplay tho. I just really help him with ideas about their personality and design.
