Sugar cookies with frosting
Chocolate chip (preferably soft, but hard is fine so long it isn't stale hard or burnt hard)

I really like poppyseed pinwheels. And lemon bars when they're done so they're actually tart and lemon-y, not that mess of sticky, vaguely-lemon-scented jellied sugar on top of shortening-bread. Also triple-ginger-cookies (made the way they go soft, not the crisp version). And Pfeffernuesse, but done the way my old neighbor's Oma Gerda made them, not the ones that turn out when I try and find a recipe online and follow it. (When my neighbor's Oma Gerda came to stay with them she'd always leave lots and lots of tins of pfeffernuesse behind. They had a real kick to them and I think she used a lot of brandy or something in them, too, now I'm trying to remember the differences. I never did discover a recipe that could duplicate it, sadly. They all turn out too bland)


I admit, my least favorite cookies are shortening-bread cookies and sugar cookies, and I always take frosting off nearly everything. Our taste in cookies is about 180 degrees from each other!

I've been super tired lately. And the weird part is that I'd sleep all night, but then I'm desperate for a nap after I wake up. And I end up taking one later. I have a doctor's appointment so I can find out if it's something to worry about or not.
