I agree on the part that I try to wear comfy clothes for clothes shopping to easily slip in and out of them :)

I also wear what I feel like wearing, usually depending on weather first and secondly on the mood.

Admittedly there are some clothes in my wardrobe which I never wore because I thought they were too fancy. Same thing applies to high heels.

Notre Dame - I was almost in tears when I saw it...

I have to admit I have times when my head is set on being fashionable > weather. I have dealt with both cold and warmth in the sense of 'but I look cute tho!' Priorities x'D

I also admit that as a Christian the Notre Dame fire did in fact bring me to tears. I kind of went offline cause of it to look up details and follow the livefeed of it on the news here. Luckily there is some good news in that most of the artwork/culture has been saved, and also good is that they had previously removed some statues of saints already that have thus been spared from the fire. Personally I'm just super super glad I've had the chance to visit it years ago.

I'm also glad to have seen it in person years ago. And that they managed to save a lot of artwork and it's still structurally sound :)
I had the livestream open on the side all evening yesterday, too.

Most of the media was so quick to expect and state the worst, its quite a relief to hear that in the end most of it has actually been salvaged/survived. Especially those glass windows!

Yeah, in the beginning it sounded super terrible and hopeless! Like nothing would remain...

I hate how speculation immediately runs rampant and every not only expects the worst but shares those assumptions so loudly. It really made it worse for me, I can't really deal with sudden panic and bad news like that. All in all I'm glad it's likely to be fully reconstructed and restored to its beauty, and I hope we find out the cause of the fire soon so people can stop with the stupid theories X.x

Yeah, I know what you mean. I was pretty shocked by the initial reports, but then everything calmed down somewhat as it became clear that most of it could likely be saved.
The only theory I've heard is that the fire might be somehow related to the restauration work they've been doing. Not sure how exactly that is supposed to make sense though, I mean, what did they do for restauration, torch off some moss?

Media and journalism isn't the best thing anymore I find.

It's just bunch of gossip a lot of the time.

Donald Trump was the worst - he came out and made some speech saying it was ALL GONE ... before they even knew the real story. What an idiot. :mcsweat:

I am not a Christian, but I absolutely love and appreciate old iconic works of art, and I do actually love the imagery of Christian icons. I find it all very beautiful so I am happy to hear that quite a lot of it was saved and that the main structure was able to be saved and they can rebuild. :qh:
