I've been lucky to have stayed with my parents for a time while working full-time. Obviously now with bills to pay my savings have reduced but I've always known the moment I got my job that it was a must that I save up! I put away a big part of my paychecks back then esp cause I knew once I moved out I'd really need to have savings to rely on should anything happen c':

I have months where I can't save up that amount due to unforeseen expenses. I have months where I'm not putting anything in my savings due to circumstances like lots of holidays (December is a nightmare, got 2 birthdays in the family and Christmas) etc. It makes it all the more important for me to be really strict for myself and make sure that all the other months I do get to set aside something.

No boyfriend here, I go with my bff which is my best friend (forever) ;'P

That is nice. I'm really glad for you. It's great you were wise enough to realize how important savings and things are at such a young age.

Oh yeah, holidays are so difficult. My mom's and neice's birthdays are in December so it's rough. I usually only try to get presents for my husband and my best friend. I guess it's good I don't have a lot of IRL friends. I'd be so bankrupt! lol.

Ha I have my grandfather, parents, bff and a niece/cousin (we do secret santa) to get presents for for Christmas. Then 2 of my friends have birthdays the 29th of December, they're twins haha

My best friend buys presents for all of her family members. And they're a catholic family so there are a ton. I don't know how she has any money left over. lol.

I don't get my mom anything for mother's day. We do try to get my mother in law something. Usually a candle. She likes candles.

We hold a secret santa among the youth for exactly that reason. I seriously can't afford to give my 7 nieces/nephews gifts on top of my grandfather and parents! Plus they're all younger and students. Only 2 of them have student jobs so yeah they definitely can't afford it all either c':

I always loved the idea of a secret santa. Especially if I get someone I know pretty well. I love getting people gifts and watching them unwrap them. It's such a nice feeling.

Maybe you could do a placer gift. Like I have another present coming in but I haven't gotten it yet.

I like flowers but I don't like getting a bunch of bouquets. I'd rather have a potted flower or something that I can enjoy for some time. Bouquets die so quickly.
