@Chriz: I've heard Fantastic Beasts 2 has had the worst reviews yet because of said detail, like McGonagall being there, the title being pointless, the structure of the story being off and all that. I mean, I liked the movie, but I left the theatre feeling pretty confused and thinking "it was cool and fun but I don't get what just happened". Although I balmed it on the last scene XD

Yesterday there was a HP question on a tv quiz and the host utterly butchered the Dutch translation for Hogwarts AND the answer wasn't even fully correct.

Yeah, the first half of the movie was pretty much ok - but from Grindelwald's rally onwards, everything went weird real fast. Why weren't the Aurors doing whatever Newt and his brother were doing to fight off the flames? Why were they stumbling around like incompetent idiots? Why did they... spoilers, I guess, so I won't continue rambling. Why does disapparating look totally different in different scenes? Sorry couldn't let that one left unsaid, and it's not really a spoiler :D
And yeah, McGonagall makes just no fucking sense. She wasn't even born yet!

She just has a little cameo as a young teacher dealing with some students, not a major role, but yeah, fuck linear time :D

tbqh I'm pretty disappointed (have been for a while actually) in JKR's post HP work/dealings, and the turn Fanstastic Beasts is taking isn't helping c':

but ah, I'll always love HP for the joy it brought me for over 10 years and that's what counts for me, I don't feel a real need to be as big of a fan now than I was back then actually.

the quiz task was finding a link, where you have to link words and phrases and the answer would be the common theme. Phrases and words were

- away from parents
- dormitory
- Hogwarts is an example of one
- home on weekend

and the answer was boarding school.

Students do not get to go home on weekends at Hogwarts! D:<

And he butchered the pronounciation so much, in English it'd been like saying Hoagwurts or sth the way he said it. Like the Dutch word is Zweinstein, and he pronounced it Zwaainstain like wow how even

Yeah it's a little... uhhh. I just saw that movie.
Feels like they're doing the Hobbit all over again. Forcing it into a bunch of movies.

They're making 5. First it was going to be a trilogy, now its 5. Basically feels like they've started this with the pure thought of milking the HP universe out of all its got and not much more, and it sadly shows :'c

I liked the first one a lot, but now they're moving in way too much plot to the point its not about the actual Fantastic Beasts anymore, they're trying to create a whole new series yet haven't bothered to get some facts straight. I saw it last night. Didn't extremely dislike it mind, but overall I left with a feeling of 'meh this isn't my thing anymore'.

Now the upcoming Bumblebee movie, that's got me hyped up way more :'D
