Yeah it really is. Modesty is very key. I heard that in older times, girls in china are given a mark somewhere on their shoulder which will only disappear after they have had intimate relations. I don’t know how this dot is given but yeah, if you don’t have the virginity mark before marriage, you’d probably be drowned in a pig cage. 8u

Also, feet tying was a thing in asian cultures too, so that your feet will stay small and dainty. Of course, this also caused feet deformity. My mom told me that my great grandmother had her feet tied. 8u

Dots that leave when you have sex? Sounds made up to be honest XD
I suppose more than one bride would paint such a dot a few days prior to the marriage, just in case >:>

But I've heard worse.
Here the gypsies have the weirdest tradition ever regarding checking a woman's virginity.
During the wedding celebration, the bride's virginity is checked by an expert woman and in presence of the rest of the married woman of the bride. Yep, it's public. At least the men are partying outside, lucky I suppose.
They use a fancy handkerchief and introduce it in her, to bring out some vaginal fluids for them to check out... and if the women agree she's a virgin, they go out and show the father, who is all proud and boasts about his girl.
And in the end it's her mother-in-law the one who keeps it, as a proof she's letting a good girl into the family or whatever.
It's crazy.

Oh, yes, I've heard about the tied feet, even saw some pictures, it was really cruel.
Women would looks so cute - and so vulnerable! I suppose that's exactly what men wanted v_v

Its called “shougongsha”. According to the tales and “history” its something like a tattoo created from the powdered remains of a gecko that has eaten cinnabar. XD;; according to what i read just now.

Yeah i never saw my great grandmother and her tied feet but my mom told me about it. Luckily, i think she didn’t have them tied for very long because they started banning tied feet. Still, i think her feet were still malformed.

It's fascinating.
The amount of things men would do just to have women under their control!

I suppose that even a few years of having one's feet tied must malform them.
Just look at what stilettos do to feet and people only wear them for a few hours a day - and many people not everyday.

Well it’s probably just caveman syndrome or something. XD

Which is why I can’t wear heels. One I’m bad at balance. Two it will probably hurt. XD

Still way too many caveman nowadays... Some are disguised as modern men, but as you scratch a little bit the reality is so different.

Me neither.
I always wear flat shoes, the flatter the better, and if they fit my feet well it's just awesome.
But many women still believe that a little heel is healthier. Like, what?

Pft yeah and now you can just use back scratchers. Fancehhh. XD

Oh I couldn’t wear completely flat shoes either. I’d feel like I was walking on the floor lol. Some heel or a wedge to give a bit of height between foot and ground is good.

It's entitlement, plain and simple. Not enough male-identifying people being told "No" and not being taught how to handle that.

I personally swing between my flats and a nice 1 inch to inch and a half heel in my normal shoes, but also I have a couple of pairs of higher (no more than 3 inches though) heeled shoes. most of my shoes are on the flatter side though.

yeah like i can't wear flip flops and sandals for that reason, i think some of those are especially too low on the ground. and i also hate how flip flops have that squeeze between the toes thing. xD;;

Flipflops are not particulary comfortable in my opinion. They do not fit the feet in any way, so it kinda feels like you are always about to loose them.
I've learned to accept the part that goes between the toes, but not a fan either.

In summer I prefer sandals. Or canvas plain shoes, those are great for summer too.
I do need to buy a new pair, last year I broke mine beyond repair. I wish Merrell still made the ones I had before, I would definetely re-buy them!
